It has been awhile since we've heard about space pirates and in any case, our transshipment space base has never been attacked. But today I saw people with weapons. These were not security people. But there was shooting from the spacecraft and reality settled in. If there are no guards, I am left alone. All the other workers flew home for the weekend, naturally. I'll have to remember all of my training with weapons and defend the base.
